I’ll be traveling from Hong Kong to Macau next week on TurboJet. I’ve never been to Macau before. What is the best way to get from wherever they offload you to the casinos, such as the Venetian? Is it walking distance or do I need a taxi? Is the taxi safe? Thanks.

  1. hey, my mom lives in Macau so i kinda familiar there. anyway, Macau is a super small island. i mean linked w/ 3 islands…the Macau island, Taipa Island & Coloane. anyway, u wil landed in Macau island of cos by Turbojet. once u head out fr the pier…turn to ur left handside n u wil c many casino’s free shuttles there. just find the 1 u wanna go n hop on. it’s FREE!! to Venetian… it wil takes u abt 20 mins as the Venetian is located on the other island just cross the bridge. it’s in Taipa… quite interesting to go.

taxi in Macau is safe & cheap. it’s start at MOP$11 on their meter i guess. if u travel on a taxi in Macau fr it’s head to toe / it’s only cost u abt MOP$60. if u just travel w/i the city…. usually only under $20.

n u needn’t exchange their currency MOP there as HKD (HK dollars) is gd in everywhere n abt the same rate. try to use up all the MOP b4 u leave Macau as MOP is not exchangable outside Macau. ok?

if u r doing a day tour & not very into those casinos… u may try their Tour Machine. it’s birng u to almost all the spots in Macau in one shot.

guess u better res. in advance.
